freshman foundations
This course provides students with the opportunity to explore the communication process to produce visual imagery and to apply graphic techniques to various fields including advertising, animation, video and web. Topics include analyzing the design elements and principles, exploring industry tools, software and equipment, as well as learning composition techniques to develop a quality product. This course is hard-hitting, production oriented, and simulates the real work environment of the communication industry.
Learn how to:
- Design and create with the latest software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and various cloud-based applications.
- Work with basic project management with milestones and deadlines
- Work with a team to design and create a new product
What is next after foundations?
After the first semester of Foundations, you will be asked to choose which 2 (two) of the 4 courses below you wish to continue with for your Sophomore year. For example, you may wish to choose Animation and Video.
