e-Communication provides a platform for learners to communicate, collaborate, innovate, and design. Animators, graphic designers, web designers, filmmakers, and broadcasters work beyond the classroom to create media — for the school, community, and professional clients.

e-Communication Academy began at Olathe Northwest High School in 2003 as one of the first four academies in the Olathe School District.

Students in the program use industry-standard software in six state-of-the-art Mac computer labs. A cutting-edge studio fosters a career-like atmosphere for students, offering a green screen, live video production, and a library of professional equipment. These tools support endless possibilities and experiences.

However, e-Communication is much more than a design and technology program. Students become expert communicators, collaborators, project managers, and leaders – ready to take on further education, careers, and LIFE.
